GECOMED establishes, governs, and directs Shekhinah Christian Life Ministries' mission on education. It provides general oversight and care for all academic endeavors of the Connectional Ministry including: church schools, preschool education, parochial schools and related institutions, primary and secondary institutions, campus ministries, institutes of tutorial education, Bible schools and institutes, colleges, universities, theological schools, Sabbath schools, leadership councils and other academic endeavors. Institutional programs addressing continuing education, church and school administrations, professional qualifications, libraries and media centers, vacations Bible schools, retreats, revivals, Junior Church programs, individualized and/or group study; fellowship, special needs, and action interest groups for children, youth, and adults are provided; as well as support to various institutions, conferences, congregations, corporations, agencies, boards, departments, and age groupings of the Connectional Ministry which promote Christian nurture, growth, and development at all levels of ministry and corporate life.

Our program of services provides a comprehensive plan that addresses the needs of all our students - from Occupational Therapy, Psychological Counseling, to College Prep Courses, to Pastoral Counseling - we provide the resources that allow our students to maximize and enjoy their academic experience. GECOMED educators are expected to be community leaders, both of the team he or she is in charge of, inclusive of the wider school campus, and within the residential community in which our facilities are located, as they share expertise and model best practice. Classroom instructors of elementary, middle school, high school, transition age, and college prep curriculums, lead a team consisting of therapists, teaching assistants, parents, and outside professionals, etcetera, to design and implement a comprehensive educational program for academic groups of 6 to 18 students. GECOMED is continually refining its model, and all employees are a vital part of this process.

GECOMED was founded on the principle that all learning happens within the context of meaningful relationships. Within such relationships, understandings of each pupil's individual differences are formed, and instruction proceeds from such understanding. GECOMED teachers create classrooms that stimulate engagement, develop communicative competence, academic prowess, foster community, and celebrate the uniqueness of every person who is a part of it. Roles and Qualifications:
As a Professional Christian Academic Associate, you will serve as the primary interface between GECOMED and students, members, ministry officials, associates, affiliates, and employees of Shekhinah Christian Life Ministries, International. Also as one who has an attested personal experience and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, resulting in acceptance of Jesus of Nazareth as Son of God, Lord and Savior, and personal redeemer; and as one who agrees in principle to our Abstract of Spiritual Principles/Articles of Christian Life; while regarding ones association, affiliation, employment, profession, business, and/or vocation with GECOMED as privileged Christian ministry; and as one who demonstrates a willingness to conform to all policies and procedures required of the position that you desire to hold with Shekhinah Christian Life Ministries, International; and as one who has established a testimony and a lifestyle that is consistent with the disciplined example portrayed by Jesus Christ within Holy Scripture, then you are encouraged to apply your advanced knowledge and experience in education and academic service as you help to ensure the delivery of GECOMED's contracted services. As an academic associate, your area of ministry also includes services as a consumer advocate, resolving service issues and building members, ministry officials, associates, affiliates, and employee's loyalty and confidence. Your attention to detail and your ability to deliver results will be an invaluable asset in this unique ministry role.

Criterion of Employment Association:
Ministers of the gospel and professional/para-professional business persons who desire to associate with Shekhinah Christian Life Ministries, International at an associate employment level should have an attested personal experience and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, resulting in acceptance of Jesus of Nazareth as Son of God, Lord and personal redeemer; 2) persevere to demonstrate a lifestyle of spiritual authority, vocational responsibility, and professional accountability that is consistent with the disciplined example portrayed by Jesus Christ within Holy Scripture; 3) be a certified resident of the State and municipality in which employment is established; 4) be a loyal member of an accepted and approved Christian church or denomination; and 5) maintain a consistent record and witness as a dedicated practitioner of Biblical Christian faith within such local congregation of said denomination.
